A driver has been caught by police with a suspected six offences.

These include being disqualified, having no insurance, not wearing a seatbelt, drug driving, being wanted by immigration and being found in possession of class A drugs.

The driver was caught in Trowbridge by Wiltshire Special Operations, who ‘suspected something wasn’t right’.

Police shared a picture of a roadside drugs testing kit showing positive for cocaine.

The driver was arrested and the car was also seized.

One person commented: “Just the 6, good work.”

Others added: ‘The grand slam’ and ‘that driver must have been going for a full house.”

What is the law on drug driving?

The GOV.UK website says it’s illegal to drive if you’re unfit to do so because you’re on legal or illegal drugs.

Or if you have certain levels of illegal drugs in your blood (even if they have not affected your driving).

The police can use a roadside drug kit to screen for cannabis and cocaine.

The maximum penalty for causing death by careless driving under the influence of drugs is life imprisonment.
